Layers of Orange

Layers of orange
I turn my back on it
Press against it

It pressed in all around me
Screaming past me
I try to push it back

Viscous
Visceral
Toxic

Lacking the crimson of blood
Which reaches depths of true blue
It besmears everything

Sheets of geodynamic dross
I'm left to peel
Vitiated

Wow!

this is a wonderfully exciting and powerful, visual and poetic direction to move in.

There seems to be an almost herculean effort involved in pushing and twisting against the old orange order of things. All the while it's viscous, visceral and toxic fingers stabbing into you.

there's an urgency to this battle that speaks to me of change that is coming or that things are changing thick and fast.

Bravo!

A lovely art piece and great powerful words! Definitely urgent and strong.

Thanks ya'll! I'm working on listening for the words that come to me. When I woke from this dream, the words that came to me were "viscous" and "visceral". And, for some reason, "geodynamic" has been stuck in my head lately.

Viscous and visceral are good words.

geodynamic too.

I love words and get word words and names stuck in my head.

I say them over and over just for the way they sound and feel in my mouth.
