Adrift

sent adrift
slapped about
by furious fists of sea
beacon fades
emotions crest
obscure light is out of reach
faith plunges
into dark abyss
abandoning futility

dawn inflicts fog
beacon’s blurred
no tide to wash ashore
anger dissipates
indifference creeps in
efficacy’s left laying
on the ocean floor

it feels like some strange floating mathematical problem that rounds down to a big fat zero. BLISS!

love the lighthouse pic. Paul

images of sailing, storm and anger. Then the calm of bliss. Or indifference--not the same?

wildness

definitely indifference, foggy indifference at that, like after you're force to make compromises you didn't really want to make, to escape the storm.
